What we collect, and why
You're sending us an FBI background check, and we take that seriously. Here's exactly what happens to your information, written the way we'd want it explained to us.
What we collect
Your name, email, phone number if you give it to us, the document you upload, and any notes you add. That's it: nothing collected beyond what you directly give us through the request form. Separately, we use GoatCounter to see anonymous page-visit counts (which pages get viewed, roughly how many people visit) — no cookies, no tracking across sites, and nothing that identifies you personally.
Why we collect it
Solely to process your apostille request: checking your document, submitting it, keeping you updated, and shipping the result back to you. Nothing here gets used for marketing, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who sees it
This service is operated by Cupola LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. Our mailing address is PO Box 34086, Bethesda, MD 20827.
Our team, and whoever we use to actually fulfill your order: the courier who submits your document at the Department of State, and our payment processor for handling payment. Your request is stored in our database provider (Supabase), used only to run your order, never sold or shared for any other purpose. Nobody else sees it or has access to it.
Payment details
Card information goes directly to our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number ourselves.
How long we keep it
Only as long as needed to complete your order, plus whatever's required for basic business and tax recordkeeping afterward, not indefinitely.
Pouch & Seal is public, but not yet accepting orders — the request form is temporarily disabled while we finish setting up banking and payment processing. Everything above already describes how your information will be handled once ordering reopens.
